Our Story
How a lakeside fishing camp became an inn.
Nearly a Century on the Cove
Loon Cove Inn began in 1928 as a handful of cabins and a dining hall, built for the fishermen and families who came up by train each summer.
Over the decades the cabins gave way to a proper inn, the dining hall grew into a restaurant, and the porch became the best seat on the lake.
Loon Cove Inn, as it appeared on an early postcard.
Summers by the lake.
Families returned year after year, often to the same room, and many still do. The guest register in the front hall goes back to the 1940s.
Today the inn is run by a small team who care about the same things the first innkeepers did: good food, a comfortable bed, and time on the water.
Come stay with us.
Whether you're marking an occasion, arriving by canoe for dinner, or staying the week, the lake and the staff will do the rest.
